The Ascent team at RAF Cranwell is proud to support the local community, including the refurbishment of the Lawrence Club, a vital welfare facility serving the whole force.

The revamped venue now also serves as the official home of RAF 10 Pin Bowling, offering an engaging recreational space for station personnel.

Ascent sponsored branded polo shirts for the club’s volunteers, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the station.

Members of the Ascent team were invited to attend an open day hosted by the RAF 10 Pin Bowling team, where they joined station personnel in celebrating the club’s new look. General Manager, Darren Arch, even received expert tips on how to score a strike!

And the Cranwell team has continued its community engagement, at Cranfest 2025. RAF Cranwell’s annual station event returned in spectacular fashion – drawing over 3,000 visitors from the station and local community.

The event featured a day of family-friendly activities, including stalls, food and drink, interactive exhibits from various station sections, and contributions from local organisations. A highlight of the day was a flypast by the Red Arrows.

As a long-standing supporter of Cranfest, Ascent was delighted to participate again this year. The Ascent team hosted an engagement area, offering branded items, company information, and insights into career opportunities with Ascent, along with a virtual reality demo, offering visitors a hands-on experience. The event culminated with live music and dancing well into the night.

Darren Arch, said: “This event is a fantastic opportunity for Ascent to connect with the station and wider local community, building on the strength of our growing partnership. I’m pleased we are able to continue to support it.”
