The Ascent team recently visited the Republic of Korea, as part of market engagement activity as the RAF looks to a future Phase 4 Advanced Jet Trainer.
Many thanks to the 1st Fighter Wing of the Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) at Gwangju, who introduced the team to all aspects of the TA-50 Block 2 aircraft and associated systems operated by the 206th Fighter Squadron, including an evaluation flight.
We are also grateful to Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), who explained all aspects of the T-50 family and how it plans to retain its relevance for decades to come, in an era of mixed 4th, 5th, and 6th Generation platform aligned with Collaborative Combat Aircraft.
KAI also hosted a tour of their substantial production facilities, including the KF-21 Boramae, and synthetic development and integration labs.
