RIAT 24 in photos
Goodbye to RIAT 2024 – a fantastic event that once again gave us a chance to welcome visitors to our Ascent/UKMFTS showcase and share with them our enthusiasm for training – both as instructors and trainees!
Hundreds of people had a look around four of our training aircraft during the three-day Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), meeting pilots and trainees and finding out more about what we do.
And dozens of youngsters had a little taste of what it’s like to be a pilot, with a simulated training flight via our VR Headsets.
Our promotional video played on screens across the showfield, our new aircraft ‘pylons’ gave visitors key facts about our UKMFTS aircraft, and new flags and banners made sure visitors could easily find us.
We are delighted to directly support the RAF’s Charitable Trust through this event, which in turn invests across the UK in STEM and outreach. The Trust has made over £7m in grants since launching in 2005, and aims to reach 500,000 young people by 2026, inspiring them to fulfil their potential in air, space and technology.
