PM meets Ascent team at RAF Valley

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been visiting RAF Valley, meeting with RAF air cadets, a mountain rescue team and some of the Ascent team.

The visit comes as Anglesey’s bid to become a freeport is confirmed.

Mr Sunak said on Twitter: “Great to be at RAF Valley in Anglesey meeting some of the incredibly talented trainee engineers and pilots.”

The event was covered by national and regional press.

Jonathan Cowdry, Ascent General Manager at RAF Valley said: “It was a pleasure to meet the Prime Minister and Ynys Môn MP Virginia Crosbie at Ascent’s fast jet pilot training facility at RAF Valley.”
