JET youngsters unleash their potential
At the end of 2023 we were delighted to welcome around a dozen youngsters from the Jon Egging Trust charity to Ascent at RAF Cranwell. This was a great opportunity to deliver inspiration, teamwork and leadership to support less confident young people and help them realise their future potential.
The JET students showed they could work together as an effective, engaged and committed team, to plan and deliver a complex simulated humanitarian mission.
Our young visitors also visited the Weapons Systems Operator (Air Loadmaster) training facility, where they were set a vehicle marshalling and loading leadership exercise in the Fuselage Training Simulator. They were then briefed on how to marshall a vehicle towards and then onto the cargo floor of the fuselage trainer and conducted an exercise themselves under the supervision of the Mission Aircrew training team.
JET visitors and Mission Aircrew Training team are pictured with a Landrover inside the Fuselage Trainer after successful loading. Great job and well done to all who took part.
Ascent is a proud supporter of the work of the Jon Egging Trust – find out more about the charity here.
