It was a pleasure to welcome to RAF Cranwell the first external trainees to complete the Ascent-delivered ‘Dangerous Goods by Air’ training.
The trainees were from Affinity Flight Services and spent four days with our Dangerous Goods trainers, Lee Adamson and Mike Childs, learning the procedures for Shipping and Acceptance of Dangerous Goods By Air.

This was the first of several planned training courses over the coming months, as we look to expand our external training delivery to a wider customer base.
Ascent’s RAF Cranwell General Manager, Darren Arch, said: “This represents a welcome move for site into 3PR and growth beyond our current contract, helping to diversify our business and increase employee engagement. Lee and Mike have put in a great deal of effort to get this opportunity off the ground, and in so doing have demonstrated the growth mindset we are looking for.”
