Ascent’s Advanced Jet Training team at RAF Valley are delighted to have been awarded a Team Commendation from the Air Officer commanding no. 22 (Training) Group in conjunction with her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2012.
The award recognises the team for their, “Outstanding performance and commitment” in teaching the ground school and synthetic training syllabus for the new TMk2 Hawk Aircraft as part of the Phase IV Advanced Jet Flying Training programme.
Valley’s Officer Commanding, Group Captain A P Hill ADC RAF writes, “Your initial series of initiatives proved pivotal in the integration of a new partnering approach to syllabus development and standardisation. As a result of your team’s considerable effort, Phase IV training has been greatly enhanced with higher output standards at a lower cost benefiting both the wider Ministry of Defence as well as the United Kingdom Military Flying Training System”.
