Further to our earlier announcement of the achievement of the collaborative relationship award, PAS11000, with the DE&S and 22 Training Group; we were proud to have been formally presented with the award in a dedicated ceremony in the House of Lords on December 7th 2010. The event was attended by representatives of the first few organisations and companies in the UK which have also achieved this significant benchmark of best practice; by its practitioners and auditors in the BSI and supporters in industry and politics, alongside the Ascent senior management team.
After an opening address by Lord Strathclyde, in which the importance of PAS and successful collaborative working practice for the future of British industry was highlighted, Sir Barry Thornton, MD of Ascent and Valerie Evans, the head of the UK Military Flight Training System (UKMFTS) team received the certification from the BSI’s Andrew Morris (EMEA Business Development Director), pictured above.
We intend to build on this firm foundation to achieving the full BSI Standard (BS11000), and look forward to continuing successful partnering in the future delivery of UKMFTS.
